White boards in your room keep you up-to-date on your care team and outline your daily goals. Our nurses will see you at least once an hour to check on you. At each shift change, you will be able to participate as your off-going team introduces you to your on-coming team. We want to empower you to be an engaged participant in your care.

TRICARE Inpatient Satisfaction Survey (TRISS)

A few days after your hospital stay, you may receive a survey in the mail called the TRICARE Inpatient Satisfaction Survey (TRISS). The TRISS is a survey that asks recently discharged patients 41 questions about their hospital stay. The TRISS is a random sample, mail and phone mixed-mode survey for patients treated worldwide in military treatment facilities, like Madigan. The survey asks patients to rate their overall hospital experience and their willingness to recommend Madigan to other eligible TRICARE beneficiaries. It also asks two or more questions in each of these categories:

  • Overall rating of hospital and willingness to recommend hospital
  • Nursing care (courtesy, respect, listening and explanations)
  • Physician care (courtesy, respect, listening and explanations)
  • Communication (with nurses, doctors and medications)
  • Responsiveness of staff
  • Pain management
  • Hospital environment (clean and quiet)

We hope that if you receive the TRISS survey that you would take a few minutes to answer the survey. Your feedback is important to us as we strive to be your health care provider of choice.
