National Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month! Get great info on healthy eating and new ways to incorporate fruits and veggies in to your daily diet. Nutrition Month 2016


From the Madigan Gate, take a right at the second stop light (into the purple parking lot). You will enter Madigan at the Pharmacy entrance. The Nutrition Clinic is located on the first floor of the hospital tower (near Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, EFMP, and the Madigan Chapel).


The Madigan Nutrition Clinic offers a broad range of nutritional services designed to deliver patient-centered healthcare to Joint Base Lewis-McChord active duty service members, families and retirees. The clinic currently has three Registered Dietitians on staff, one of which is a Board Certified Pediatric Dietitian. Our Registered Dietitians provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to active duty service members, families, and retirees.

Services Provided

  • Individual appointments
  • Army MOVE! classes (Active Duty Soldiers - may self-refer)
  • Adult Weight Management classes (family members and retirees)
  • Bariatric Nutrition classes
  • Heart Healthy Cardiac class

  • Pre-Diabetes
  • Eating Disorders
  • High Blood Pressure
  • High Cholesterol
  • Pediatric Nutrition

Referral Process

Individual appointments at the Nutrition Clinic require a referral from the patient's primary care provider.

The following classes and programs DO NOT require a referral:

  • Active Duty, Adult or Pediatric Weight Management Classes
  • Cardiac/Heart Healthy Eating Classes
  • Post-Bariatric classes (for post-bariatric surgery patients)

Who can be seen here?

Active duty, retirees and eligible family members are able to be seen in the Nutrition Clinic. Patients will need a referral from their primary care providers unless they only want to attend one of the self-referral classes mentioned above.
