Madigan's Inaugural Volksmarch

Madigan is proud to host its inaugural Volksmarch Saturday, November 23. All Madigan staff and their families, as well as our valued beneficiaries are invited to participate. "The Volksmarch" is a 5K run/walk, along with fun family activities that will also include a health fair in the Medical Mall. This event will begin at 8:00 a.m. for runners, and 8:30 a.m. for walkers. The starting line will be at the top of the Madigan Pond. The family activities and health fair will run until 11:30 a.m. Food and hot drinks will be available, with proceeds going to the Winter Ball. Come join in the fun! Rain or shine!

Join Madigan for our first Volksmarch 5K Run/Walk at the Madigan Pond! Other activities will include face-painting, coffee and hot chocolate, food concession booths, scavenger hunt, fire truck display, a health fair in the Medical Mall and much more family fun!

When: Saturday, November 23
Run starts at 8:00 a.m., Walk starts at 8:30 a.m. with activities until 11:30 a.m.

Where: Starting at the Madigan pond with activities, including a health fair in the Medical Mall

Who is invited: Madigan beneficiaries, staff, as well as their friends and family!

Why: Volksmarches started in Germany in the 1960's as an event focused on physical and mental health promotion rather than competition. Help bring the tradition to Madigan by participating with your friends, family, and children.
